The upcoming festive season is a special occasion to send Christmas greetings to family, friends, business partners, customers and fan.

As a global company, we speak out for peace and friendship - between all countries and peoples. This year, we have decided - for a given occasion - to support two charitable organisations with monetary donations which are directly concerned with the consequences of the war in Ukraine. RAVENOL is donating a total of 25,000 euros. One part of it will go to the charitable organisation War Child, whose aim is to help children in war zones. The other part goes to the animal protection organisation PETA Germany.

In Ukraine, millions of people have been fleeing since the war began, including countless children. The violence in these areas affects their everyday lives, shapes their behaviour and can lead to psychosocial problems. This is where the NGO War Child comes into play: it develops psycho-social, peace-building programmes for children after or in war and conflict zones and stretches, so to say, mental protective shield over them. A so-called Psychological First Aid takes care of the invisible wounds and scars of those affected.

The welfare of animals is also part of all our responsibilities ...

Already since the end of February this year, the PETA team has been on the Polish-Ukrainian border to help people with animals in need. In addition to urgently helping animals and people directly at various border crossings, PETA Germany (together with PETA's Global Compassion Fund) has already loaded over 50 trucks of 20,000 kilos each with dog and cat food into Ukraine. This means that more than 6,500 hungry animals are being fed every day, now also including horses. More than 2,000 animals have already been rescued from Ukraine.  During the animal rescue, sometimes dramatic scenes take place, because the teams deployed on site put themselves in great danger. Together with other local animal protection organisations (which they also help to network), they create escape corridors for people with animals and bring food into the country as well as animals out of Ukraine in night and fog operations.

With the donations, we hope to be able to make a contribution to alleviating the suffering of the children and animals in need.

RAVENOL wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
