Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll reached the first and the third places respectively at the end of the penultimate race of the 2020 Formula 1 season.

Sergio Perez on P1

It really was his day: the Mexican Racing Point driver Sergio Perez wins his first ever Formula 1 race at the Sakhir Grand Prix. After an unsuccessful start in which he was knocked into a spin after an incident with Charles Leclerc leaving him at the back of the field there followed a brilliant chase: one overtaking maneuver followed the other. He finally overtook his team mate Lance Stroll and then the Renault driver Esteban Ocon. The pit mishaps at Mercedes catapulted the Mexican to the head of the field, a position he held to the checkered flag. This was followed by emotional scenes as the team gathered around their hero. Congratulations on your first victory in F1, “Checo”!

Pure emotions …

The second Racing Point driver, Lance Stroll, also reached a podium finish in 3rd-place. Racing Point as a team scored a total of 40 championship points with two podium finishes (P1 + P3) and took third place in the constructors' championship - ahead of McLaren, Renault and Ferrari. RAVENOL is the “Official Lubricant Partner” of the team, with lubricants being available directly from the RAVENOL plant in Germany for supply to the Silverstone headquarters.
