The racing is on again: with the beginning of the 2019 Formula 2 season in Bahrain this weekend, Mick Schumacher – inter alia – will be the focus of the global public’s attention.

The son of seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher will race for Italy’s Prema Racing squad that relies on the RAVENOL lubricants, no matter what season or category.

In the F1 feeder series, Mick Schumacher, the reigning Formula 3 European Champion and partner of RAVENOL, will have to familiarise with several changes compared to F3, particularly when it comes to his new racing car. Instead of by a 240bhp engine like his F3 car, his new racer will be powered by a turbo charged 620bhp 3.4-litre V6 power unit that has got what it takes to accelerate the F2 vehicle from 0 to 100kph in amazing 2.7 seconds. The gearbox is a semi-automatic six-speed device with the gears being shifted by dint of paddles behind the steering wheel.

Per weekend, the F2 hopefuls contest a 120-kilometre sprint race and a 180-kilometre feature race.

When the season kick-off weekend is over, Mick Schumacher will get behind the wheels of two F1 cars! During the days of testing in Bahrain, he will the test the SF90 for Ferrari and afterwards the Alfa Romeo C38.

The Formula 2 race action will be streamed live at F1 TV Pro and in addition, you can view the highlights on the F1 livestream.
