Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL charges into the Green Hell

A newcomer with a winner’s DNA: Endurance racing on the legendary Nordschleife is gaining another prominent team. Under the ‘Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL’ banner, a project combining long-term commitment and top-notch performance is launched for the 2026 season and beyond. As part of a multi-year cooperation, the team will enter a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in a total of six races in the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) and in the legendary ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. The operational activities will be handled by the renowned Mercedes-AMG Performance Team Winward Racing.

The project underlines the high sporting ambitions of all parties involved. With its status as an official Performance Team, the outfit enjoys support from Affalterbach. A special detail adorns the vehicle livery, which is based on the look of Maro Engel's Mercedes-AMG GT3 in DTM: the team will enter the race with starting number 80. This is a tribute to the 80th anniversary of RAVENOL (founded in 1946). Visually, the power and agility of the vehicle is underlined by the symbol of the cheetah – the fastest land animal in the world is the inspiration for performance on the race track.

For RAVENOL, this commitment is a clear statement of its dedication to motorsport, its partnership with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and the Nürburgring. After more than a third of the entire field in last year’s 24-hour race already relied on lubricants from Werther, the company is now taking its presence to a new level.

Martin Huning (Director RAVENOL Motorsport): "I am very much looking forward to the new motorsport programme with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and the Winward team. We have a long-standing and trusting partnership with both companies. We also feel very much at home at the Nürburgring, whether it is through the RAVENOL Media Centre or the RAVENOL S after the start/finish straight. Added to this are the title partnerships with the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring."

Christoph Sagemüller (Head of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport): "Working with RAVENOL to run a Mercedes-AMG GT3 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife is exemplary of what we stand for at Mercedes-AMG Motorsport: long-term partnerships, the highest level of technical expertise and uncompromising performance. We have a long-standing and trusting partnership with RAVENOL, which is now also visible on the biggest stage of endurance racing at the Nürburgring together with our Performance Team Winward Racing."
