RAVENOL Car Textile Sealant

RAVENOL Textile Sealant is able to perfectly seal a wide variety of textiles and keep them breathable thanks to a newly formulated recipe. The sealant reliably protects the fabric against penetration of water, dirt and soiled liquids or similar.

RAVENOL Textile Sealant impregnates and seals textiles of all kinds, especially: convertible tops, seat upholstery, floor mats, leather (vehicle interior) but also tents and other outdoor textiles. The treated surfaces remain breathable while being sealed and hydrophobic over long periods, making them water-repellent. Thanks to the guaranteed breathability, the sealant is also particularly suitable for fabrics and leather used to cover seats. Free from fluorocarbons (PFAS).

Application Note

Preparation: Before applying the product, clean and rinse the vehicle thoroughly to completely remove the cleaner from the application surface. In case of particularly stubborn soiling, take care that the textile is also cleaned deep into the pores, as residual dirt in deeper layers of the textile can also affect the sealing quality. We recommend soft-bristled brushes or similar for this purpose.

RAVENOL Car Textile Sealant may only be applied to completely dried surfaces. Cover surrounding areas and surfaces before application. The particular textile should be tested on a small and inconspicuous area for abrasion resistance and color stability.

Application:

RAVENOL Car Textile Sealant should be shaken before use and applied at +5°C to a maximum of +60°C. Spread evenly over the entire surface without any gaps. A firm sponge or our RAVENOL Brush Detailing Set is very suitable for this purpose. The sealant is worked quickly and evenly into the dry textile. If a

higher quantity is used, a temporary darkening effect may appear.

Follow-up:RAVENOL Car Textile Sealant should not come into contact with water or other liquids for at least 2 hours after application. After 2-3 hours, the seal is considered weatherproof, but continues to increase its effect and water repellency for approx. 3 days after application until the material is completely interlinked.

(In the event that the sealant gets onto neighboring parts, wipe off immediately with a wet cloth).

Hint:The service life and effect can also be optimized (e.g. in the case of a convertible top) by exposure to sunlight or artificial IR radiation and heating to 45-60°C.

Note:

RAVENOL Car Textile Sealant should be stored in sealed containers in a dry and cool place. Protect from direct sunlight, heat and frost. Keep out of the reach of children. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
