With the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, one of the most defining cars of the early GT3 era makes an impressive return to the racetrack. Entered by Team Motopark, the iconic gullwing car is experiencing an emotional revival in the GT3 Revival Series, seamlessly continuing its successful legacy in international GT racing.
Powered by a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine (M159) producing around 550 hp, the SLS AMG GT3 combines classic motorsport DNA with exceptional durability and impressive performance. Power is transmitted via a sequential six-speed racing gearbox, while an integrated multi-disc limited-slip differential, working in conjunction with traction control, ensures optimal traction and outstanding acceleration. The lubrication of all key components is handled by RAVENOL racing oils, specifically engineered for maximum performance and outstanding viscosity stability, ensuring reliable operation even under the most extreme conditions.
Among its greatest achievements are overall victories at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, as well as titles in international GT3 championships such as the FIA GT3 European Championship.
Launched in 2026, the GT3 Revival Series is dedicated to the legendary first-generation GT3 cars (2006–2013) and is conceived as a tribute to the origins of the GT3 category. Featuring a modern Balance of Performance format, iconic machines such as the Audi R8 LMS, BMW Z4 GT3, Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, Porsche 997 GT3 R and Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 return to the track — with the SLS AMG GT3 from Team Motopark right at the center of the action.
The team’s participation represents far more than just a sporting comeback. It also reflects a long-standing and successful partnership with RAVENOL. Since the early 2010s, RAVENOL has supported Team Motopark as a technical partner, contributing significantly to the lubrication, development, and optimization of high-performance race cars across numerous series — including the ATS Formula 3 Cup, the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, and ADAC Formula 4, as well as GT racing.
