Admittedly, not all the cards were re-shuffled last Sunday. Many were, though, at the absolute top as well as on the places that were also hotly fought-for. The "46th ADAC/MSC-Rhön Hauenstein mountain race" was held on the well-known 4.2 km high-speed power slope from the town of Hausen up to the Hochrhönstraße from 14 to 16 August 2015. A huge field of 204 cars, including the regularity rally participants, showed up on practice Saturday. By 6 PM, the mountain races had drily completed three uphill runs. As time was running short, the GLP drivers only had two of them. The rain set in overnight, continuing throughout the racing Sunday at differing intensities and keeping the slope wet at all times. The three Race-Heats started on time and were completed by 5:10 PM, notwithstanding some longer interruptions during the GLP drives. This relatively early end was made possible anyway by the impeccable as well as extremely exciting show of the KW Berg-Cup participants and their NSU colleagues, as well as all the other true summitteers. They all kept a professional grip on themselves and their material in the Rhön Mountains at all times, proving to be the very best advertisements for mountain racing in their respective areas.
