Sebastian Vettel wins the Australian GP, with defending champion Lewis Hamilton coming second.

For Sebastian Vettel it was the 200th GP he contested in his career and his 48th GP win. In the battle of the four-time champions, Vettel prevailed against Hamilton’s Silver Arrow due to a full-course yellow caused by Team Haas driver Romain Grosjean when had to stop next to the track in a dangerous position right after his pit stop as one of his wheels hadn’t been properly attached – a situation Ferrari used for a perfectly timed pit stop. The podium was completed by Ferrari’s team-mate Kimi Räikkönen.

RAVENOLs partner, the Sahara Force India Formula One Team, was just pipped in the battle for the top-10 positions. In the end, Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon had to settle for finishing 11th and 12th respectively. The new VJM11 that uses the same spec as the Mercedes and Williams F1 teams (Mercedes M09 EQ Power+) proved to be a reliable vehicle featuring a lot of potential.

The next GP will be contested on 08th April in Bahrain, the race will be started at 17:10hrs CEST (16:10hrs BT).  From 20th to 22nd July, the pinnacle of motor racing will be back at Hockenheim and the German motor-racing enthusiasts will have the chance of witnessing the race action at RAVENOL’s partner circuit live on site.
