Formula 3 season kicks off in Silverstone

Last weekend saw the 2015 season of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship get underway. The Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone was the venue for the first three championship races. RAVENOL’s two partner teams, Van Amersfoort Racing and Team Motopark, were among those who had travelled to England for the event. The most successful drivers from both teams were Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Markus Pommer (Team Motopark). Pommer finished 5th in Race 1 and 7th in Race 3, while Leclerc excelled himself by taking 12th place in Race 1, 2nd place in Race 2 and a victory in the third race, thus making a perfect debut as a rookie. Hence, after the first weekend of racing, Leclerc is now 2nd overall with 43 points, directly behind the Italian Antonio Giovinazzi. Markus Pommer currently lies in ninth position in the overall standings.
