There still is another round to go – the season finale in Argentina – but Mattias Ekstöm already is the new World Rallycross Champion. Last weekend at the Estering, the two-time DTM Champion made for an early decision in the title chase. To have the chance of achieving this goal he did without contesting the DTM season finale at Hockenheim – and this decision paid off. With his 560bhp Audi S1 EKS RX quattro, lubricated by RAVENOL RRS 5W-50, the Audi DTM driver contested the entire World Rallycross Championship season on the highest level. The title secured by Ekström for Audi is one of just five FIA World Championships available, with the others being the World Rally Championship, WRC, the World Endurance Championship, WEC, the World Touring Car Championship, WTCC, and the Formula One Word Championship.

For RAVENOL, the technical partnership with Team EKS in the FIA World Rallycross Championship represents a logical extension of the cooperation with the Audi Sport TT Cup and the involvement with the Team Phoenix Racing (Audi R8 LMS) in the GT Sport.
