Team Aust Motorsport around team owner Frank Aust can look back on a long and successful motor-racing history. A history that began back in 1979 with motorbike trial developed via karting and rallying to road racing. Since 2004, Aust Racing have been involved in different sports-car and touring-car series resulting in an impressive record, featuring numerous race wins and titles.
Since 2016, the Rietberg based squad also has been competing in the ADAC GT Masters and secured some decent results in their debut season. In the still young 2017 season, Aust Motorsport prevailed – against impressive competitors – as fastest Audi team on the grid, with its two Audi R8 LMS GT3. New in the 2017 season is the extended involvement in the ADAC TCR Germany that is contested by the squad with two Audis RS3 LMS.
For achieving its successes, the team harks back to its state-of-the-art technical equipment, innovative structures and high-performance lubricants supplied by RAVENOL. The close technical cooperation with Team Aust Motorsport includes – in addition the use – the enhancement of lubricants for close-to-production racers, such as the Audi RS 3 LMS.
Background information: Audi RS 3 LMS (2017)
The delivery of the Audi RS 3 LMS vehicles to the customers began as early as in December 2016. Right in time for the season kick-off of the most important TCR series Audi supplied 90 cars worldwide. As technology supplier of Aust Motorsport, RAVENOL provides special oils for the extreme racing conditions the TCR touring cars have to cope with. The four-cylinder two-litre TFSI engine that produces 350bhp and accelerates from nought to 100kph in 4.5 seconds is a virtually unchanged production engine. The engine oil RAVENOL VMP SAE 5W-30 that is used in the car makes for a safe lubrication film and increases the wear protection even at extreme speeds. Meanwhile, RAVENOL Racing Brake Fluid with its high chemical stability and the highest lubricating power makes for maximum performance of the hydraulic dual-circuit brake system. And the sequential six-speed motor racing gearbox benefits from the use of RAVENOL Racing Gearoil with its extremely good viscosity-temperature characteristics.
The TCR formula already has been realised in numerous races and series – and the tendency is rising: TCR International Series, 24H Endurance Series, TCR Las Americas, Hong Kong Touring Car Championship, Macau Touring Car Championship, TCR Asia, TCR Middle East, Thailand Super Series, ADAC TCR Germany, TCR Baltic, TCR Benelux, TCR Europe Drivers Trophy, TCR Italy, TCR Portugal, TCR Russia, TCR Scandinavia, TCR Spain, Touring Car Endurance Series, VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring Nordschleife, 24H Nürburgring, 1000 km Palange etc.
