First victory for Markus Pommer in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship

It was a worthwhile trip for Markus Pommer in Zandvoort (NL): On Saturday he captured a podium placing in over the 4,307 kilometer long, ex-Formula 1 track for the first time, and a day later he celebrated his first victory in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship.

Eight points for Alex Masbou at the Motorcycle World Championships at the Sachsenring

The SAXOPRINT Racing Team Germany riders proved that they can compete with the best in the world during the last two days of practice sessions. However, one had hoped for a little bit more from today’s of the racing weekend climax. Both world championship drivers had the aim of ending up with some points. Unfortunately, only one of them, Alexis Masbou, managed this. With eight additional points he overtakes his team colleague John McPhee in the overall rankings, and now sits in 12th position on the leaderboard. John goes into the summer break without any additional points. He crossed the finish line in the GoPro Motorcycle Grand Prix Germany in 17th place. The Wildcard rider from SAXOPRINT RTG, Max Kappler, tried too hard and crashed, ending his race prematurely. 

Matchball for the ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team

  • Emil Bergkvist secured the European Junior Championship title early on in his Opel ADAM R2
  • An extremely fast gravel track will be in place for the penultimate ERC Junior race in Estonia
  • Marijan Griebel will travel to the Baltic in top form on the back of some excellent recent performances 

12 points for Hilmer Motorsport at the GP2 in Silverstone

The Hilmer Motorsport team had a successful GP2 racing weekend at the "Home of British Motor Racing". Team boss Franz Hilmer went home with a total of 12 points and, as at the Red Bull Ring, they started from the front of the grid on Sunday at Silverstone.

Half-way through the DMV GTC season in Hockenheim

Races 7 and 8 of the DMV GT and Touring Car Cup (DMV GTC) took place at Hockenheim on the hottest weekend of the year (3rd/4th of July 2015). Pertti Kuismanen and Jürgen Bender won the races.

(05.07.15) The thermometer was up at nearly 39 degrees in the shade. The asphalt burnt and in the cockpit the drivers had to contend with temperatures of over 70 degrees centigrade. Nevertheless, there were more than 31 starters for the DMV GTC, each of them fighting for every centimetre. Races 9 and 10 will take place on the 24th/25th of July 2015 at Hockenheim.

First victory for Senkyr Motorsport at the ADAC GT Masters

Seven races… that’s how long it took for Jakub Knoll, Lennart Marioneck and the Senkyr Motorsport Team to notch up their first win at the ADAC GT Masters in the Bronze driver’s category. There was also a reason to be cheerful in the second race on Sunday for the Senkyr Motorsport Team drivers. At the end they managed to capture second place in the team classification.
