In the Shanghai 6h Race, a round of the FIA WEC (World Endurance Championship), Team ByKolles Racing secured an important class win. In the penultimate round of the season, the Bavaria based independent LMP1 squad came seventh in the overall rankings, thus securing the win in the independent-team category. The squad around Director of Operations Boris Bermes convinced with a great performance in difficult conditions and for the first time this year, they were rewarded for their hard work.
ByKOLLES Racing, formerly known as Lotus LMP, has been involved in motor racing for 15 years, now, and can look back on a highly successful time in WEC, DTM, Formula 1 and other single-seater series. With a new front-wheel suspension, aero modifications and several other upgrades in line with the regulations – as well as RAVENOL lubricants in the respective units – the team made a crucial enhancement step regarding the performance of their endurance racer, CLM P1/01.
As early as next week, on 19th November, the teams will travel to Bahrain for the season finale of the pinnacle of endurance racing. Then, the futuristic Le Mans prototypes, such as the Porsche 919 Hybrid, Audi R18 or the Toyota TS050 – Hybrid, will battle it our for points and positions at the Bahrain International Circuit.
