Indy Dontje wins the Ravenol Media Award

Indy Dontje has cleared the board this year. As a novice in the Formula ATS 3 Cup he has won not only the Rookie championship, garnering third place overall, but now he can add the Ravenol Media Award to his list of titles. The 5,000 euro prize money awarded by lubricant manufacturer Ravenol will be presented to the young Dutchman next Friday at the Essen Motor Show. The jury agreed that the 21-year-old displayed the broadest spectrum of skills, and had shown special personal and creative talent. His application reports on a day at the racetrack for children suffering from cancer. The promising pilot is an ambassador for "Against Cancer". This is the third time that the Formula ATS 3 Cup Ravenol Media Award has been awarded.

Indy Dontje's Formula ATS 3 Cup season could not have been better. Following his capture of the Rookie championship, he has been awarded the Ravenol Media Award. "I am really happy about winning this award. I have put a lot of work into the project and I really wanted to win, above all for "Against Cancer". Now three families can go on holiday next year", said Dontje. "I would like to thank the Formula ATS 3 Cup and Ravenol for the possibility to draw attention to the organisation in a creative way.“ Throughout the season, the 21-year-old fought hard for the Ravenol Media Award, using the possibility of jury feedback to assist his efforts. In the end, the promising young talent from Schoorl delivered a persuasive cross-media presentation, including a video of his work with "AgainstCancer", an organisation in which he, as an ambassador, makes it possible for children to visit the racetrack for a day, thereby helping them in their personal fight against their illness.

"Indys project is not a short-term thing, but a real commitment“, says Katrin Wolff, head of editorial staff at CAR PICTURE MOTOR SPORT and member of the jury. "In an age of new media he has presented us with a video that makes a huge impact. He has also managed to integrate this subject into his Facebook page. He's a presence in his national media, so therefore his racing is also in focus.“

"The positive resonance in the media and social networks is proof of his creativity“, says Robert Seiwert, head of editing at Motorsport-Magazin.com and also a member of the jury. "Indy's passion for the whole project was completely plausible and has sharpened his personality with lasting effect." Martin Huning, manager of Motorsport at Ravenol adds: "It is also the only submission which used the medium of video and this is an important personal tool for the representation of the project. He has a great presence, but he, nevertheless, leaves primacy to his guests and the project itself.“

Martin Huning will personally present the prize to Indy Dontje at the Ravenol stand. Editors and photographers are cordially invited:
