Year by year, the races at Macau’s street circuit creates new legends and make for the weirdest stories.

This weekend (17th / 18th November), the entire motor-sport world will concentrate its attention on one of the most spectacular motor-racing events of the year: the Macau Grand Prix. The race meeting features races in numerous categories, inter alia the FIA GT and the FIA F3 World Cups, the FIA WTCR, the Motorbike Grand Prix, the Touring Car Cup and the Lotus Cup.

It’s the already 65th edition of the prestigious race in Macau. The last motor-racing highlight in 2018 that is held in China’s special administrative region located not far from Hong Kong attracts both motor racers and celebrities. The 6.12-kilometre Guia Circuit, a street circuit that is regarded as one of the most dangerous racetracks in the world, features 24 corners, sections with a with a width of just seven metres from crash barrier to crash barrier as well as straights with a length of more than a kilometre and uphill sections.

This year’s Macau GP will be contested – inter alia – by RAVENOL’s partner team Prema that will be represented by its 2018 FIA Formula 3 European Championship line-up: Guanyu Zhou (CHN), Mick Schumacher (DEU), Ralf Aron (EST), Marcus Armstrong (NZL) and Robert Shvartzman (RUS). RAVENOL has been accompanying the squad around the reigning FIA F3 European Champion Mick Schumacher for several years and supports it in several series with the highest quality racing oils. The successes Prema celebrated in the past and even more so the frequency and consistency of these successes do not only result from the top technology used in the team’s single-seaters but also from the ongoing urge to get better and better. RAVENOL fully adopted this maxim and makes for increased competitiveness by supplying the team with lubricants featuring the USVO® technology.

The feature race on Sunday also will make for battles between the two rivals in the past F3 season, F3 Champion Mick Schumacher and the second placed driver in the championship and last year’s Macau winner, Daniel Ticktum (UK) – or Prema vs. Motopark Academy and Dallara-Mercedes vs. Dallara-Volkswagen. Consequently, we may look forward to thrilling fights between numerous opponents.

As Formula 3 supplier, RAVENOL also supports several teams technically. The race action will be streamed live, inter alia, at the FIA website.
