EVO X R4 ready for season highlight

The annual Rally Championships in Germany will take place next weekend. The world's best rally drivers will show off their skills and captivate the audience in the scenic area along the Moselle. Amongst these tops drivers is of course the Hermann Gassner Jr / Ursula Mayrhofer team.

After the unfortunate end of the last event of the German Rally Championship the season highlight in the form of the German World Championship seemed out or reach.

After short reflection the Gassner-Motorsport team decided to build a new Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X R4." Just-in-time", the final phase of testing was completed this weekend. “Many thanks and praise go to our super team! Within a very short time, we were able to produce a competitive car from many new parts. The last test drive was positive and now we’re looking forward to the World Championship on home soil and in front of countless German fans! ", radiates Gassner Jr.

In addition to Gassner Jr. and his co-driver Ursula Mayrhofer, father Hermann Gaßner will also take part in a Mitsubishi Evo X R4 provided by Gassner-Motorsport. “I’m delighted at being able to take on my father. We’ve never taken each other on in these cars around here in Trier. This will definitely be exciting.", says Hermann Jr. Mayrhofer added: "We are also looking forward to meeting our fans in the Service Park at the exhibition centre in Trier. “Everyday, we’ll be taking a few minutes to catch our breath and recharge our batteries there."
