RAVENOL Group: Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH since 1946 and Deutsche Ölwerke Lubmin GmbH since 2013

Start of the new Formula 4 – Large starting field with prominent names

Next weekend, the ADAC Formula 4 will start in Oschersleben. The new newcomers' series following the ADAC Formula Masters offers no fewer than 42 drivers. 18 teams have signed up for the series. Five that RAVENOL cooperates with in other formula series or in cart sports will compete in Formula 4 as well in 2015:

Van Amersfoort Racing has contracted two of the best-known names of international racing sports. Mick Schumacher, son of Formula 1 record world champion Michael Schumacher, will drive his first race in a formula car in Oschersleben.

His team colleague is Harrison Newey, the son of Formula 1 star designer Adrian Newey.

Team Motopark around Timo Rumpfkeil includes, among others, Jonathan Cecotto, son of the former Formula 1- und DTM-driver and motorcycle world champion Johnny Cecotto.

Another DTM-driver, Timo Scheider, already active in cart sports as team leader, has also chosen to move to Formula 4. In the area of promotion of young talent, he also cooperates with RAVENOL. The same is true for the German-Danish RS-Competition team, also from cart sports, who will have their first race in Oschersleben. A long-term and highly successful cooperation in formula sports connects RAVENOL to Neuhauser Racing from Austria.

The team of Hannes Neuhauser was the champion of the departing ADAC Formula Masters in 2014, using two racing cars piloted by Kim Luis Schramm and Tim Zimmermann in the new Formula 4.
