„We're here to win"

The Neuhauser Racing team from Zell am Ziller in Austria went into the fourth race weekend of the ADAC Formula 4 at the Lausitzring (from the 3rd to the 5th of July) with great optimism. After a fair to middling performance in Spa in Belgium, pilots Tim Zimmermann from Langenargen and Kim-Luis Schramm from Wümbach wanted to put in a better performance and get onto the podium at the Lausitzring. The course is a blemish on the Neuhauser 2014 race season in the ADAC Formula Masters, if one can speak of one for last year's championship winners. Neuhauser pilots stood at the top of the podium placings in seven of the eight races, and it was only at the Lausitzring that they failed to do this. "Well I'd call it "big-time whinging", smiled team boss Hanne Neuhauser. "We had two podium places with Mikkel

Jensen and Tim Zimmermann always scored points, in spite of his brake problems. And there's no explanation for what happened this year.“ The driver pairing is different, and the vehicles have also changed considerably. Tim Zimmermann and Kim-Luis Schramm are driving totally new Formula 4 vehicles which returned good results in Eurospeedway testing.

The drivers are very confident too. "We're here to win“, said Tim Zimmermann from Langenargen. "Everything is possible for Kim Luis and myself.“ It is crucially important that both pilots achieve a perfect lap in Qualifying on the asphalt. In Spa in Belgium two weeks ago this was not the case with both drivers, and their placings were fairly modest. "The boys simply have to drive a trouble-free lap and get their best sector times at the same time.“, said Hannes Neuhauser, relating the theory behind his plans: "But, in practice this is difficult, above all on the Lausitz because it's the shortest course on the racing calendar.“ However, all of the teams have to contend with these problems, and also with the weather; meteorologists are forecasting temperatures of up to 37° for the coming weekend, adding extra strain for both man and machine. "It might not actually be a bad thing, then it'll be similar conditions to the Red Bull Ring“, says Hannes Neuhauser. "And that's where we managed to take our first trophy home with us.“

All ADAC Formula 4 races at the Lausitzring will be broadcast live on TV by Sport 1.
